§ 36-66. Charges for collection.

(a)

There shall be charged, assessed and collected a monthly service charge for collection and disposal by the city as currently established or as hereafter adopted by resolution of the city council from time to time.

(b)

The monthly service charge shall be collected on a monthly basis through the utility department of the city.

(c)

All charges for services furnished by the city under this division shall be due and payable by 4:00 p.m. on the last business day of the month; provided, however, that if such due date shall fall on a legal holiday observed by the city, then such bill shall be due and payable by 12:00 midnight of the following business day. The cutoff day for payment of all charges for services is on the tenth day of the following month; failure to pay such charges by the cutoff date shall result in the discontinuance of the sanitation service for that customer and such services shall not be resumed until all such charges have been paid in full.
