§ 32-7. Misrepresentation.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any peddler to make false or fraudulent statements concerning the quality or nature of his goods, wares, merchandise or services for the purpose of inducing another to purchase the same.

    (b)

    If, after a permit has been issued, the city determines that such permit was obtained by false representation in the application or the permit holder has committed any act or practice that violates V.T.C.A., Business and Commerce Code ch. 17, subch. E, otherwise known as the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act, or any crime or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude, or any violation of this chapter or any other city ordinance, or any other state or federal law, during the term of the permit, the permit shall be revoked by the chief of police.
